That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

Finally, a Good Pair of Everlane Jeans
"I was an early Everlane buyer (2011 early) and they became the place to buy jeans. At least they were until 2022, when I noticed their material got thinner, they stopped holding up as as well as earlier iterations, and fit and sizing got weird (why no more actual garment measurements?!?). Recalling a great pair of Everlane cigarette pants c. 2017, I thought I'd take a gamble on these ones. Reader, they *fit*. Reader, they are comfortable. Reader, they do not bunch around my middle nor squeeze my upper thighs. Reader, I look *good* and feel good to boot. The denim is still not as thick as c. 2022 Everlane but in every other respect, these fit the bill. No regrets."
