Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I had been looking for a loose-fitting pair of off-white denim pants for months and everything was either to stiff or unflattering. These are soft, flexible pants with a great color that isn't too brilliantly white. I love the long side pockets and the zip fly - very flattering on the backside."

"They now use a carrier service I have never heard of that is almost entirely chat bots and AI generated emails. I placed an order almost a month ago and contacted the carrier immediately about an address error ( I suspect they used a address verification system that changed my address to one that doesn’t reflect my actual address or what was entered). Then I repeatedly received emails falsely indicating delivery attempts when I was home and no attempt was made. Meanwhile there were several other deliveries from FedEx and UPS. I am not sure who UniUni is but as long as they are the carrier service I will no longer be able to order from Everlane. I was offered no assistance from Everlane in communication with the carrier."
