High hopes, but not worth it
"Looks much better on the model than on me. I bought it on sale, so am unable to return. It is shapeless, and as you wear it, the seat of the dress stretches unattractively so bulges and also makes the back hem hang lower than the front. Overall, a bland dress that desperately needs help."

"I have been drooling over this dress for months and finally made the leap. I loved how it plays with sheerness and coverage- thought it would be warm, breathable, and a bit sexy. I was really torn on the sizing- by the size guide in Everlane I am a medium, but I usually wear a 27 or get small. However since my hips and shoulders are broad relative to my waist, I followed the size guide and got a medium. In real life- I'm very disappointed. The outer dress looks shapeless, likely because the lining underneath is super baggy at the waist- however the lining barely fits my hips, and I am right in the size chart zone. I think in S the lining would not have gone over my hips but the dress would have fit much better. The sheerness is also barely visible in the black so it looks like a shapeless black dress- nothing sexy or fun. I think my body is just not right for the block that Everlane sizer's use- such a bummer because I usually love the clothes. But besides the sizing issues, which I know are individual, the dress had weird gathers at the seams on the sides and hem. I sew, and it just wasn't done well."
