Better denim starts with better materials. We prioritize certified organic and regenerative cotton — a tiny share of the world's supply — grown with less water and healthier soil practices. That same intention carries through to production: state-of-the-art factories that recycle up to 98% of their water, using ozone washing, air drying, and renewable energy to reduce water and energy use by design.
We work with mills and wash houses that have verifiably reduced chemical use, moving away from harmful treatments common in conventional denim. Our partners are independently tested against leading safer chemistry standards like bluesign, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and ZDHC — not self-reported claims. Fewer chemicals in your jeans, safer conditions for the people who make them, and lower environmental impact.
We don't guess at environmental impact — we verify it. Using Jeanologia's EIM, the industry benchmark standard for environmental denim wash impact, 96% of our washes score low to medium — meaning significantly less water, energy, and chemicals than conventional denim.
Our denim fabric is rigorously third-party tested multiple times from development through pre-production — verifying durability, consistency, and performance across fabric weight, tear strength, and color fastness. The result: denim built to get better with age, with more years in your wardrobe and fewer replacements.

"I have MANY Everlane pants in 26 that I wear all the time. The fit was uncharacteristically small for a 26. These were final sale so the Everlane representative I spoke to wouldn't even discuss an exchange. They told me to sell them on Poshmark. I understand no refunds but no exchanges, when you're dealing with inconsistent sizing, seems like a very unfair policy to me."

Unfortunately, after less than two months of regular wear, I noticed quite a bit of fading in the colour. That was not so bad, but then the bum quickly wore out - there is a hole in the fabric, right beside the back pocket! They are not wearable anymore, and I don't think they are repairable. Really disappointing relative to the quality I usually expect from Everlane"

"Everlane has been my favorite place to buy jeans for years now. After walking around work today, I come home and notice that the back pocket has ripped across the entire seat of the pants. I noticed when I opened the package that the material felt thinner than normal, but dismissed it as they fit so well. I am appalled that a company who charges as much as Everlane, would allow their consumers to purchase this."
